Overview
Blue Religion is a women-led marine conservation organization dedicated to preserving marine environments in Mexico. We focus on shark protection, pollution reduction, and education.
Project AMOARA, our shark conservation program, partners with local fishing communities and scientists to protect shark nurseries in Nayarit. We work with local children to prove the importance of the area and we also aim to provide alternative incomes for the comminity.
Our Pollution Program mobilizes over 2,000 volunteers for beach clean-ups, raising awareness about recycling, waste reduction, and ocean pollution.
We believe the key to long-lasting change is education. By engaging local children and communities, we teach the importance of marine conservation and inspire the next generation of ocean advocates.
