Overview
The Hawaiian Islands Recreational Scuba Association is an independent, non-profit organization, formed for the purposes to better the Hawaiian Islands through attitudes, behavior and action that will conserve our environment and promote peace. HIRSA acts as a trade association for scuba retailers and resorts offering scuba charters and programs in Hawaii and has developed a safe and ecological dive site mooring standard and assisted in the installation of over 30 new moorings in the past year in conjunction with the Malama Kai Foundation. We love our beautiful Hawaiian Island haven and enjoy sharing the very best of Hawaii with visitors from around the world. Our members are dedicated to the preservation of the reefs around the Hawaiian Islands and we will continue our commitment to help visitors to our beautiful islands understand and protect our most precious resource...our ocean.
