The Video 24XR light is ready for our wireless Remote Control RC1.

LED technology with outstanding efficiency

The Video 24XR is equipped with a LED of the latest generation with a color temperature of 5600 Kelvin. The spectral power distibution is very even, resulting a color rendering index of 86 CRI (Ra). A unique feature is the variable power with 9 settings ranging from 11 - 360 Watt and the optional wireless long range Remote control.

Soft 110° beam

The light uses a carefully designed reflector and a dome lens to achieve a very wide and smooth beam without any speckles or hot spots. Beam angle (full width, half maximum) is 110° in water (120° in air).

Self-contained

The self contained design makes this light very easy to use. There is no need for special mountings for a separate battery canister. The included bracket with ball allows easy mounting on standard arm systems.

Lightweight in water

The design is optimized for minimal negative buoyancy in water. The complete set is only 0.5kg negative. A foam bracket is available as accessory to further reduce the negative buoyancy to only 0.3kg.

Tough Design

The LED can not break and has almost unlimited lifetime. The integrated overtemperature protection allows safe use of the light in air.  The protection circuit controls the housing temperature and the power will be limited to keep the temperature within an acceptable range.

Li-Ion Battery

The light is powered by 3 batteries of 99Wh each. They are mounted in a battery tray to make a single, easy to use 297Wh battery. The battery tray can be easily exchanged within a few seconds.  For save airline transport, the three batteries can be easily removed from the battery tray and transported individually to meet the requirement of a maximum allowed capacity of 100Wh per battery. 
The charger accepts 110V to 240V AC.

Charge Display on the rear side

An eight stage bar indicator gives you a quick overview of the available charge. The 3 digit display shows the remaing charge time and the remaining discharge time in minutes.

The Video 8XR 20000 lm CRI 86 is equipped with a LED of the latest generation with a color temperature of 5600 Kelvin. The spectral power distribution is very even, resulting in a color rendering index of 86 CRI (Ra). A unique feature is the variable power with 9 settings with a brightness range of 1:80.

Soft 110° beam

The light has a very soft and speckle free beam of 110° in water (120° in air).

Self-contained

The self contained design makes this light very easy to use. There is no need for special mountings for the battery canister. The included bracket with ball mount allows easy mounting on standard arm systems.

Small and lightweight

The design is optimized for very small dimensions and light weight. The complete set ads only 0.87kg (0.30kg in water) to your gear.

Travel Safe Li-Ion Battery

The battery passed successfully the mandatory UN38.3 safety test as required by IATA and it is therefore certified for air transport. The capacity of this battery is below the maximum allowed capacity of 100Wh. It contains an integrated protection circuit against harmful conditions like over discharge, deep discharge, over current and short circuit. 

Charge Display

The green charge level indicator displays the available relative charge. The two digit display shows the remaining time. While the battery is discharging, the display shows the remaining runtime in minutes (e.g.”18” = 18 minutes). When connected to the charger, the display shows the remaining charge time in units of 10 minutes (e.g.”18” = 180 minutes).

Filter-free Ambient Color Matching

The revolutionary Keldan 8XR Ambient 18,000lm compact video light takes our unique ambient filter system that allows for seamless balancing of artificial and ambient light to the next level by removing the need for the filter. The 8XR Ambient’s LEDs emit light at the spectrum equivalent to the ambient light at a depth of 6m (~20’) at a luminous flux (lumen value) almost two times higher than a standard 8XR 20,000lm fitted with an external AF6B filter.

Wireless Control Ready

The 8XR Ambient is compatible with the powerful wireless RC1 Remote Control. The RC1 can connect to an unlimited number of lights in two groupings and allows for precise power control at distances up to 50m (~160’). Whether using the lights mounted on or off camera, the remote allows for faster and more precise control which leads to longer effective runtimes.

Expansive Beam Coverage

With a soft and even 110º in-water beam angle and natural looking fall-off the 8XR Ambient’s light will blend seamlessly with the existing natural light without harsh edges or uneven areas of coverage.

Compact Intelligent Design

The 8XR Ambient is designed with the traveling videographer in mind with a minimal footprint that adds only 0.87kg (~1.9 lbs) to your kit. In-water each light is a manageable 0.3kg (~0.66 lbs) negative which can easily be offset with buoyancy arms.

Field Tested Tough

Keldan lights are the choice of professionals everywhere for their reliability and extreme durability. The LED is virtually unbreakable and an almost unlimited lifespan. Thanks to a built in thermal protection circuit, the light can even be used in air without risk of damage from overheating with the light automatically adjusting output to keep the temperature in the safe range.

Additional peace of mind is delivered by the integrated protection circuit that protects against harmful conditions such as over-discharge, deep discharge, over-current or a short circuit.

Intelligent Information Display

Integrated into the battery and easily viewable during use through the transparent rear cap of the light is both a visual battery level indicator with each bar representing 10% and a runtime countdown which shows the time remaining at the current power level. When connected to the charger the display shows the charge time remaining and battery charge level.

Worlds 1st Underwater Remote Control

Outstanding features

It has two brightness channels. Each channel can address an infinite number of lights simultaneously. A light can be paired with any of the two channels with a pairing mode. The range under water is about 50 meters. The RC1 remote control can also operate in air, but the range will be limited to about 1-2 meters.
